Portion sizes are great! I was hoping for a little juicier flavor and a friendlier atmosphere for the price...It could use a spring cleaning too.

We had the signature menu that was an absolute explosion of taste! I recommend this place.

Dont know what happened but thing have taken a big turn in quality. Ive been coming here since early 90s and i still come now and then but quality has gone down and price have gone way up. Still gets 2 stars because of memories

Wow!! Just had East of Edens for the first time tonight and fell in love. Everything was nice and hot, tasteful, and good portioned. I had the bqq half chicken with rice and the lemon soup! Totally coming back, super good!

Best greek food

Delicious food for amazing prices!

I used to eat here about 20 years ago when I was dating my wife and also a young construction laborer. Their 2 chicken leg lunch special was my go to. A proper meal, with real food. Roasted chicken, Greek potatoes, and Greek rice. Yum. Walking in today was great. The dining room expanded but the chicken special is still on the menu. And the owner was still behind the counter making sure things are running smoothly. I was so glad to see they haven't changed what works.The Greek salad is also great! Home made dressing...Sure they have hot dogs, burgers, gyro, etc. But do yourself a favor and get a dinner plate. You can eat that fast food anywhere. Enjoy a good meal at a neighborhood favorite.

This is a Chicago gem. I love East of Edens, and if you want a great burger, dog, ribs, chicken, etc, and all at a great price then give em a shot. The chicken special is enough for 2 at like $7

We had a great time at this place. We enjoyed the nice vibes and the menu. The staff are super attentive. I am happy we ultimately decided to try this restaurant.

Basic Greek diner with large selection of gyros, shishkebob, Greek chicken , burgers, etc. Reasonably priced. Very clean and comfortable.

Food is decent prices are good. If you like gyro plates and grecian chicken than you'll like this place

Food quality has decreased. Last night we ordered gyros with extra tzatziki sauce. The vinegar taste was overwhelming. When asked the Manager admitted to thinning the sauce with white vinegar. Awful! We have been going there for over 20 years. It is unlikely that we will go back anytime soon. Certainly not for gyros.

Im in Cali and missing those potatoe wedges and chicken. Soooo good ! Please open a restaurant in Los Angeles !

Food is good... But came in Durning lunch... There was only one cool in the kitchen and one guy at the cash register... For a greasy spoon restaurant you need to how more short order cooks for lunch hour.

Best food in town, and great atmosphere.

I enjoyed the cod fish and chips dinner. Fish was still moist on the inside.

I have been going here for about 10 to 15 years because I work in the area. their food is amazing and their prices are very good. I have usually had the grilled chicken breast salad hamburgers and hotdogs. The grilled chicken breast that comes with the salad is very tender and flavorful and theirdressing is very flavorful as well.

Great place classic staple in the neighborhood. Authentic fast food paradise . has been in business for a long time..get a chilli dog or a cheese dog..or a patty melt. Those are my favorite!!!! 👍

The best gyros ever! Meat is juicy, yet with crisp bits. Pita is nicely grilled and toasty. Only complaint is I want more onions! Love raw onions!

Our go-to take out place, for when you want something fast, and delicious, but not greasy and deep fried. Their salad is always fresh, and the lemon rice soup is amazing. I like their chicken kabob plate, and we also like the gyros and chicken breast salad.
